The video tutorial above simply outlined a few of the more basic tools. Some of the tools are the rectangle tool, the startle tool, the pen tool, and curvature tool. The rectangle tool is straight forward and very simple to use because it reminds me of cropping images which is rather simple. The starter tool is slightly more complicated but still straight forward, as it allows you to make complex images which can be cool for more abstract designs, where as the rectangle can be used for simple solid backgrounds. The pen tool seems very versatile, with a lot of ability, it seems easy to create simple lines but very difficult making shapes with curves. I had experience in class using the pen tool, however there is still more to learn, it can be used to make anything, I believe it's the most useful tool in this video so far. The curvature tool is an easier way to create curves than with the pen tool. These tools will allow me to create multiple pieces using these basic building blocks.

The video tutorial above outlines many fast tips to use to add little adjustments to my designs using this software, allowing for more depth, and the ability to do things more efficiently. Some of the tips where very helpful and stood out. You can simply use the stroke panel when drawing lines to create dotted and varying lines, this allows for more complex lines when using the pen tool. You can use the intertwine tool to blend different shapes together allow them to work together, and avoid different layers not cooperating. You can use the smooth tool to have more control over your lines using the pencil or pen tools, the smooth tool, which allows you to straighten small curves on lines that you draw, gives the ability to draw more complex things and not worry about making as many mistakes. Additionally, the knife tool allows you to split apart shapes, allowing for new shapes to be created, however it seems like the most difficult tool to used In an advanced way, the other ones seem much easier.

The video tutorial above outlines more basic usage, multiple tips stood out to me. You create vectors, which are images not made from pixels, to have an image you can use at any size, I didn't know these existed and found them very fascinating. You can easily manipulate shapes with the direct selection tool. You can also use the pathfinder panel to combine shapes, this seems difficult because the more shapes you use the more complicated it is. This video further explains a few of the tools discussed in the previous videos, as well as explaining the illustrator menu and workspace. The pen tool still seems very difficult to master! Illustrator has many useful tools, and it is a very strong software.
