My First Class

 My First Class

My name is Luke Bettano, and I am a freshman at the University of Tampa, I will be studying marketing. I have an interest in film, and certain artistic things, as well as business, which made me choose marketing. I also enjoy working with others, and being social. I struggle with mathematics and science classes in school, but do well with English and history classes. I am prone to clumsy mistakes. Due to my interests, I am excited to learn about digital media. I am from Long Island, New York.

I am very excited and grateful to attend the University of Tampa and to take a Digital Media Class. I thoroughly enjoyed taking media or film classes in high school. I worked hard on a few cool projects in high school studio media, including: a stop motion project, several short films, and a photo album. We learned the basics of photo shop, as well as visual techniques. I enjoyed phot shot, and it was often challenging when I pushed myself to try to utilize the advanced tools to create more interesting imagery. I always enjoyed making imaged mired or symmetrical.

I expect this class to focus on utilizing and understanding how digital media works, and the background information, in addition to the techniques of utilizing it. I was pleasantly surprised by how much background information there was in the introduction during the first class. My following blog will contain various things I have learned about digital media, all of which are things I had always thought about never researched, it is important to understand the functions of the world we live in, such as how the internet actually works, considering we all use It all the time. The photo shop tools were introduced to us and they were rather difficult to learn, but once they were learned they were super efficient. There are so many tools that offer us artistic ability, and I am excited to learn them. Below is my first creation, a selfie of me altered using AI.
